August 2013I am currently serving in AmeriCorps NCCC FEMA Corps. My AmeriCorps roles are Media Representative, Project Outreach Liaison; for these roles I am assigned to create Tweets, Facebook posts and write articles about my team and our current projects. I also look up potential sponsors for my team to work through for service projects as well as future lodging locations within our designated project round location. I also design debriefing PowerPoint presentations at the end of each round showing the work and progress of my team. I design the debrief packets to give a physical aid during our PowerPoint presentation. I also created the team Brochure used to hand out to our superiors before being assigned to a regional disaster. My FEMA Role is Planning Support Specialist, since the start of our first round I was assigned to Recovery Coordination Cells designing pamphlets and informational booklets for the various departments, and being a lead in meetings to help all departments to share information to solve the issues of the residents and state.
